Image size on Facebook
Summary of the main sizes for natural and sponsored Facebook posts. JPEG and PNG formats of at least 100 kb are optimal.
- Facebook profile picture
- 320 x 320 pixels (recommended), profile photos are now displayed in circular format, so watch out for edges that may not be displayed.
- Facebook cover photo
- 720 x 315 pixels (recommended)
- Videos and slideshows are also configurable
- Facebook story images
- 1080 x 1920 pixels
- Your text must fit vertically at 1420 pixels to ensure that it is seen by all mobile devices.
- Facebook link images
- Minimum 600 x 315 pixels
- Cover images on Facebook events
- 1200 x 628 pixels (1.9:1 ratio)
- Facebook carousel images
- 1080 x 1080 (1:1 ratio) for a maximum of 30 MB per image
Image size on LinkedIn
Summary of the most important sizes for Linkedin publications. JPEG, GIF and PNG formats are best. A little tip: when you copy and paste an internet link (url) into LinkedIn, you can change the link image to 1200 x 627 pixels (ratio 1.91:1).

Image size on Instagram
Instagram is now able to publish images in vertical, horizontal and square formats (always prioritize). An important new feature launched in 2019, Facebook's Creator Studio supports you in programming and creating publications. And you can now identify people from Creator Studio, a tool that's undergoing positive development.

- 330 x 330 pixels (recommended), the format is also circular like on Facebook, so watch out for the edges of the image.

- 1080 x 1350 pixels
- Horizontal Instagram photo
- 1080 x 566 pixels
- Square Instagram photo
- 1080 x 1080 pixels (ratio 1:1)
- Photo in Instagram stories

Image size on Twitter
The ideal formats on Twitter are JPEG, PNG and GIF. As a reminder, a tweet with images will be much more visible than a text-only Tweet. The maximum size of an image is 3 MB, and 5 MB for GIFs.

Off topic, but important to know: Pinterest's advertising system is finally open for Switzerland, and it's already guaranteeing a significant advertising impact. We're lucky enough to be managing national campaigns for clients, and the results in terms of impressions and clicks are very good for relatively low costs... for now!
